How we got here, and the decision that shaped the product.
A colleague needed a small sum for four days before payday. Her bank offered nothing under a year-long personal loan. An app offered money in minutes but would not tell her the total cost until after she had signed. She took the app loan, and paid roughly twice what she expected.
We built the opposite: a product where the total repayable figure appears before you consent, in one line, in plain rupees. It costs us conversions — people who see the whole price sometimes walk away. We think that is the point.
A small team across product, risk and support, operating a fully digital journey from application through repayment, with a licensed lending partner issuing every loan.
Short-term borrowing in India is easy to obtain and hard to understand. The common pattern is a headline rate that omits fees, a total that only appears after signing, and a penalty structure that grows faster than the borrower expected. We started AdvanceRupay to run the same product with the arithmetic stated first.
We do not lend on our own account — loans are sanctioned and disbursed by Salora Capital Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC, and we act as the Lending Service Provider. We do not promise approval, and we do not promise how fast money moves, because neither is ours to promise. We do not charge for closing a loan early.
One product, one tenure and one rate: amounts from ₹5,000 to ₹50,000, repaid in a single instalment 30 days later, at 1% per day with a ₹500 processing fee plus 18% GST. Keeping the shape fixed is what lets us put the full cost on screen before anyone signs.
Because every additional variant is another place for the disclosed cost and the real cost to drift apart. A single structure is easier for a borrower to check and easier for us to be held to.
Salora Capital Limited, an RBI-registered NBFC, named in your Key Fact Statement and your loan agreement. Funds are credited by the lender directly to an account in your own name, and repayments go back to the lender.
No documentation, disbursal to your own bank account, and every charge disclosed in your Key Fact Statement before you accept.
